(Toronto) Maple Leafs management confirmed this afternoon, the agent for veteran goaltender Curtis Joseph has officially requested a trade out of Toronto at the behest of his client.
"We received a fax this afternoon outlining that Curtis wanted a good chance to compete for the Stanley cup this season, and he just couldn't see the Maple Leafs giving him that opportunity," said GM Garrett Hansford.
"Out of respect for what Curtis has accomplished, we'll try and accomodate this request as soon as possible."
(Please don't not email asking what I'm looking for. Its obvious that I'll be looking for you assets for next season).
