Word out of Hollywood tonight is that in between the starlets dancing around the team office, the teams organization, dealt UFA to be's Tomas Holmstrom and Derek Armstrong to Philadelphia along with 450k. Coming back to LA is Rob Niedermayer (signed for 3 years), prospects Denis Arkhipov and Stefan Liv, and the Jackets 4th rounder in teh upcoming draft.
"Hey Arkhipov has been playing well of late for the Hawks in teh NHL, he gives us another depth winger with upside for next year. To get Nieds who is signed for 3 years and a couple of developmental prospects with Liv and the pick, it was a deal we couldn't pass up. I'm not sure what Rex was drinking in Philly, but it our organization is thrilled with this deal."
