funny Kirk, I also laid Tootoo out and he stayed down as well. I played with or against lots of younger guys at camps throughout Western Canada, Upshall, Christensen, Tootoo, Lupul, Boomer, Blackburn, etc....

A guy I went to school with last year played Minor Peewee with Downie, and he said he wasn't really that good, some kids develop by leaps and bounds.

Actually he was probably the worst of the four of us on the road, but the best on the ice, and he was 4 years younger then most of us.

I am the son of a former NHL'er who is friends with Bob Gainey and Colin Campbell and the late Roger Nelson. I come from Dave Gagner's home town and play with his brother in a rec league. I am also dating the cousin of former 1st round pick Jim Sandlak.

For my next installment of "haha beat that bitches" I have a great uncle in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Bobby Bauer. Played for the Bruins on the Kraut line before joining the Royal Canadian Air force. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996 to join his brother and another great uncle of mine, David Bauer, also known as Father David Bauer

Former NHLer Dean Evason rubbed my ass when I fractured my tailbone in some intrasquad games and he was coaching the Blazers.

Also back in high school I puffed a few cheezbahs with local legend Tim Smith, former star for Spokane Chief and Canucklehead draft pick. Although pretty much everyone in the area did that.
