Vinny back in Tampa

The dynasty builds on:
To Tampa Bay: Vincent Lecavalier, Colin White and Glen Wesley

To Ottawa: Alex Kovalev, Alexander Radulov, Derek Morris and Steve Eminger

New Lines:
Scott Gomez-Vincent Lecavalier-Dainiuz Zubrus
Alex Tanguay-Patrice Bergeron-Todd Bertuzzi
Chris Higgins-Michael Nylander-Radim Vrbata

Can anyone compete with this?
I think not...

chemistry on the top two lines is more important than having a third line scoring... though your team could break the mold and set a new example

Yeah, but you said something pretty much exactly the same a few weeks ago, along with "see you on day xx"... only to lose to me, so I'm not too worried about it Plus there's more to a team than forwards. Forwards... check. Goaltending... check (well, starter anyway, better hope there's no injury to him). Defencemen... ooo... that's where the team falls down.

How often do goalies get hurt in FHL? Between rarely to never.
If your D much better than mine? it's bette rnot a whole lot.
My forwards are MUCH better than yours now, wait till the rerates next year, a 6 month old baby will be able to tell mine destroy yours.

Another thing missing is your future . You can claim Gomez and Tanguay are that, but sure enough you'll have to drop some of your beloved forwards. Gomez, Tanguay, Vrbata, Bergeron and Higgins all will be looking for hefty increases this offseason. GL keeping them all.

Thanks for the wish. I accept it.

I was thinking the same thing. Gomez will probably want a 3 to 4 million dollar raise per season over the paultry 0.6 mill he makes now... others too. With only three offers before other teams have the right to offer, Tampa will be hard pressed to match offers that will be made for the RFA. Something will have to give.

I'll have about 50 millions to give in signing bonuses.

And since we can only offer half of the total value of a contract in the form of a bonus, that means you are going to sign your players to 100 million dollars in contracts.

100 million over 4 years = 25 millions

A GM just can't be allowed a minute to revel in his acquisitions can he?

Words of praise aren't solicited with arrogant challanges like: "Can anyone compete with this? I think not?"

Obviously Tampa has three nice lines, the third one looking a bit odd with Nylander there, more of a "roll three scoring lines" mentality than your prototypical third line. He has been a scoring force, so if Nylander continues his production with less minutes per game then more power to him and the Lightning!

I don't think Philippe feels like he's being attacked. Just fair comment. It's actually nice to have a discussion around here!

Lol, it only has to happen once to you for your goalie to get seriously hurt, and it's the end for you no question. But you're right, it's unlikely to happen. Still, fatigue will play a part, regardless of how little you think it matters.

But rest assured, I have no doubt saying that your 3 lines of forwards are impressive. Of course you shouldn't have Berger... oops, never mind. Still, very nice.

Rest assured though, your defence is indeed much much less than the Panthers, and without serious upgrading, will without a doubt, be your downfall.
