Well, it's never fun, but after numerous attempts by the league office to contact Chris and through mediation of a third party (Joe in NYR), the league is sad to announce that Chris Abbey is no longer running the Blues organization. We've done everything we can to get the situation resolved with Chris, but his lack of participation, and refusal to correspond with our overtures has left us with no other option.
Before advertising for the position, we are opening it to all assistant GM's in the league, if you are interested in the position, please email us at brhlhockey@yahoo.com with your application.
Here's the deal, you would need to PREPAY the season 2 franchise fee. Any profits earned this season by the Blues organization would be split 50/50 with the new GM and the league offices.
After over a month of trying to get correspondance going, there was simply no alternative to the matter, if you have any questions, or problems with this proceeding, please post them here, obviously this is something we need to have way out in the open, I assure you, their really
Hey boys, I'll make this quick but I wanted to add my 2cents in the matter. Chris Abbey is my cousin and at the start of the league he was extremely excited and all about the league. His status changed when he had to move from Rhode Island to Florida for the Cape Coral Police Academy which he's 6 wks into now, along with being bummed about losing Jagr at the start of the season. His loss of Jagr was due to his lack of experience in fantasy leagues (BRHL2 being his 1st, and him just not properly reading the rules).
I've since contacted him and talk to him all the time, mentioning on more than one occasion that his participation needs to improve as well as acivity in the league. There wasnt a change for the better in his status which is why I advised the commish to "do what they need to do" for the better of the league. I realize that Bryce and Eric both feel bad about having to do so, but its neccesary for the further forward progress of the league and the St. Louis franchise that we bring in a new GM to take Chris place.
I just wanted to touch base with everyone on this matter, I feel bad about it too seeing I recommended him for a gm spot initially but it just wasnt a good fit and the league will be much better off after letting him go. Take care-Joe NYRGM

Its not your fault..its not your fault...its not your fault.....Joe..Its not your fault *as you start crying*....its not your fault...
Maybe NYR can answer this, but what is going on with LA? He's always online yet he never answers my messages. Some other GMs I've talked to have also had this problem. So what's up with him?
I think if you're gonna be in a league first and foremost you should respond to people about trade inquiries, otherwise why not find another GM. There are a lot of guys on St.Louis I wanted so I'm glad that we'll be getting a GM who will at least respond to trade talk.

Once again we may have to do the same with LA that is going on with St.Louis. Who knows, I have however spoken with LA gm Jay Macera about this and he said he would try and be better about it. I do know however he is dealing with a very serious illness that is effecting one of his immediate family. I dont want to say exactly who but I know its taking its toll on him and hes doing the best he can in life and everything else with it. I will mention to him again if he could get back to you all about offers though. Thanks for understanding boys, I know you do. -JOE NYRGM
For future knowledge I will not be suggesting any of my friends for a position because it seems like i'm 0 for 2 so far. hahaha
To all that has this same concern bout me Jason the KingsGM. I have been doing a lot of trading and pretty much return all my emails and my instant message. Some of the emails I receive lack my interest. So I apologize about not returning an email and will step up to the plate now on.
