In the Rangers most recent deal with the Tampa Bay lightning the blueshirts dealt away DEREK MORRIS, STEVE REINPRECT and prospect PA Parenteau in exchange for 4 top notch nhl ready prospects ALEXANDER SVITOV, LASSE KUKKONEN, RYAN SHANNON, and JANIS SPRUKTS.
We really feel good with this one brining in 4 players that are currenlty playing or in Sprukts case has just played his first NHL game the other night. We of course hate to move Morris who is still young at 27 and Reinprect who is solid all around along with NHL hopeful Parenteau but we feel the return for the future is greater, since we're shooting towards next season at this point.
Lightning are happy with this deal, increases the chance at a cup without sacrificing next season too much, other than possibly Kukkonen none of the others could really have helped us next season so we're happy with the move.

wow NYR lost I think...Reino actually has quite a bit of upside..The end of last year and the beginning of this year were quite good for reinprecht once he got out of calgary. MOrris is still a top 4..
those 4 players will all struggle to be on a 2nd line..or top 4 D..
Looking at the transactions page, yes, it's been processed.
It shouldn't even be a blip on the radar of the "board". Morris' 74 OV is quite misleading as his only true asset is his PC, and given his current season in the NHL is due for a poor rerate. Reinprecht will be UFA after next season and has a career hir 52 points in the NHL.
This is hardly a trade that's so extreme that the board should be even considering it as anything veto worthy.
