You pick the Rangers to miss the playoffs and wonder why we think Montreal won't make it?
JJ and Lund the ONLY reasons? The first line is as dominant as any in hockey, the second line looks to be as good or better than Montreal's top line. The third line is intriguing and it'll depend how much Dawes thrives early, he certainly will get 10-30 goals as a rookie. The fourth line gets shortshifted and is good for checking, though I suspect Hossa will stand out as an odd fit.
But the defense is VERY good at moving the puck and keeping the speed going, skills very useful in the new NHL. Lundqvist is twice as good as Huet. Healthy, he'll shine.
Every year it's the same story with the Habs. Their goalie sucks they have no forwards, their defense ha sholes and yet they always are in the playoffs. Montreal is being seriously underrated by everyone.

the best thing about montreal is souray, he is probably the most watched guy in the nhl in free agency because every forward in the nhl has one or two plays where they catch him guessing and undress him its good for the teams exposure.. MONTREAL hasnt done anything since the early 90's wake-up frenchies ur team sucks.

Maybe you could show a little respect for a team that's won 24 Stanley Cups smart ass. We've also made the playoffs the past 3 seasons which most teams can,t even say they've done.
No surprise there! The most overrated (++) and the most underrated (- -) teams. Though Carolina (++) and Columbus (- -) are giving them a run for their money. I still expect all four teams to make the playoffs. And it's only been a few games in the NHL. It takes a good 10 games to get any reflective picture I think.

Didn't quite get the order, but Missed 2-3 Eastern Playoff spots, and only 1 for the West (provided the Avs don't pass the Flames).
