Vancouver heads into Toronto to take on the Mapleleafs. The Mapleleafs coming off a loss to Tampa Bay will be looking to rebound against the Canucks. Vancouver coming off a tie versus the Capitals will be without their starting goaltending Antero Niitymaki. He is still day to day after the injury he suffered in the first period of the Washington game.
The real question mark of this game is how Sean Burke will play in net. He played very well filling in for Niitymaki. He stopped 29 of 30 shots in 54 minutes of action to earn the tie. Their first line of Straka Gagne and Jokinen will have to get more going then they did in the season opener. The 3 combined for only 1 shot(Straka) and thier big sniper Gagne has to get more scoring chances.
