And Philippe you dont even read my posts, thats what makes this pointless. We obviously have some kind of communication error. When you say "sign prospects" does that mean they are just brought into your overall roster? Or are you meaning sign them to a 3 year contract and have them rated 50's across the board from WITHIN your prospect pool? This is where the confusion lies for me. But I still dont know if I can have 50 players on my roster and then sign more and end up with some 60 players under my system?
Also if you CANNOT have prospects signed at 50s across the board then IT DOES MATTER, so stop being so definitive.
I read your posts we just had a misunderstanding, I mean prospects with 50s across the board.
My point was if the ONLY reason you drafted that 8th D instead of your prospect was to respect the rule of at least 8 D's then there was no point because you could have signed one of your prospects and have him rated 50's across the board to meet that 8 D-men requirement.
OK, this makes sense now what you are saying IF we are in fact allowed to do this within the rules. Im not sure if you can have a prospect not rated become rated as 50s across the board on your pro roster. Can Eric or Bryce answer this?

Yeah we are, I read it in the rules and it was done for my team.

You are allowed to sign prospects to contracts if they are not currently in our database. They will get the default ratings. They will sign for 3 years. But their contract amount will not always be 450k. Thus Colorado cannot sign Malkin to default ratings to a 450k contract. Contracts will be based on market value, whether they'll be rated next year and potential. Most of the offers have been 450k thus far, as thats how much the Player Agents has agreed they are currently and will be worth throughout their contract.
