When will trading re-open?

Just wondering as we approach pre-season sims.  I'm sitting on 3 deals as of now.

I was wondering too. I'm sitting on two.

Perhaps after the draft is done the commishes could have a couple of days for it.

I understand that it might be too much work to be swamped by the open floodgates now, while the draft is still on.

It will open after round 50. Probably the day after.

Eric,

I think a few day wait period so you can process the bunch of trades that are pending based on agreements.  We have about four or five....

Can we post trades all in one spot IN THE TRADE PART OF THE BOARDS? Why are things getting posted in the main part? I think anything involving players on the block, trades, rumours, whatever should be posted in the Trades area? What do you say eric/bryce/league?

I've been sending trades in to the league e-mail. I think we should keep it that way unless we create a new board for Trade Announcements or something so that we keep the Trade Talk for trade blocks etc.

Frankly I don't know the commishs have kept trades straight with every trade being posted in the same thread. It's worked extremely well in ever league I've been in, simply have the league create a "trade forum" and then any trade that happens gets posted in its own thread. It's extremely easy, and it keeps trades separate so you don't have 20 trades posted in the same thread and have to look up and down for confirmations and to keep things straight.

Guys, we really need a TRADE FORUM. For posting trade announcements. If they are just sent in via email the rest of the league doesn't know what the hell is going on.

My preference is to have all of the trades emailed in and have a section on the webpage where the trades (and all transactions for that matter) are archived.  This way everyone can see who was traded where and when, who was claimed on waivers, who was signed as a free agent, etc....  THis also is a great way to see what happened 5 years ago when you want to look back at some of the best and worst deals in league history.

That works but any way we do it we need to have a way for GMs to know who is going where.

There won't be a trading forum, everything will go through e-mail. All trades are sent to brhlhockey@yahoo.com.

And there will be a BRHL2 Trade History. It will probably be archived on the board, so that it can be commented on as well, in the same place.

Not really sure what the objection to a trade forum would be... even if you want things to be officially sent via e-mail for a trade to happen, the forum would still be nice so the rest of the league can know about trades when the happen

I was thinking about that as well, it would be nice to be able to check those kinds of things.
