AHL Championship

How do we even field a team of 20 players in the AHL if our prospects dont get any kind of AHL rating? I dont really understand how the AHL stuff will work, if this were real life our team would pretty much be a lock for the AHL championship.

After the 50 rounds, teams will be able to sign veteran free agents who played in the AHL last season. If nessecary their prospects will be creted but with ratings of 50 accross the board to fill out a roster.

Bridgeport will have one of the best first line units:

Daigle-Hartigan-Vigier-Murray-Clymer

Alexandre Daigle has 73 PA and 70 SP; Mark Hartigan has 69 SC and 67 PC; J-P Vigier has 72 DF and 71 INT; Doug Murray has 85 INT; and Ben Clymer has 81 END and 74 INT.

Of course, the 69 OVs will be call ups, but if the Islanders remain pretty healthy and low in suspensions, then the farm club will have a very competitive top unit going into the inaugural season of the BRHL2 minor league.

Remember, CASH awards for minors playoff champion (2%), minors playoff finalist (1%) and minors MVP (0.5%).

A great organization aims to be competitive at all levels over the short term, medium term and long term.

Im still confused. Am I able to just call up prospects and have them rated 50s across the board and use them to fill my 5 forward spots for each forward position, 8 d positions and 3 goaltending positions? Eric?

NO....you must be able to fill those MINIMUM requirements with ably rated players. If you dont want to draft them now then either trade for them, or sign some of the AHL free agent types who will be available after 50 rounds.

There is no reason a non-rated player could possibly play games for any BRHL2 team.

You also got to remember to meet the salary cap floor at 21.5 mil.

Ok, good cause I was planning on meeting both of these criterions. Dont worry, the Sabres are a well run franchise in BRHL, we know what we are doing.
