To NYIslander: Daniel Tjarnqvist, Duvie Westcott, Ilja Bryzgalov, Pat Rissmiller, Tom Poti, Bjorn Melin, Karri Ramo, Tom Gilbert
To Boston: Chris Pronger, Doug Murray, Jocelyn Thibault, Ken Klee, Wade Brookbank, Denis Istomin, Viktor Dovgan
It also of course depends on what you're looking at it. I'm sure some people are looking at nothing but the player/skills/abilities/potential but not factoring in salary. Clearly St. Louis' salary affected how far he went...
Cam Ward that early in round 2 IMO was a pretty dumb move.

Martin St. Louis in the 7th round? That's a steal even for a cap league.
Kuddos to Ross in Colorado for drafting talented cheap skaters, making Brad Richards and Martin St. Louis his only multimillion dollar skaters. A great fit, and a steal from his team's perspective. St. Louis should bring his team 30-40 goals a season for at least the three years on his contract, and then with a Tag he could resign even longer.

You're right, one month of good hockey after a mediocre regular seasons means he's worthy of picking over Tanguay, Lecavalier, Cole, Hemsky, Kaberle Havlat and Savard.
Not to mention he can't even be a starter in the BRHL this season...

If Cam Ward plays next season like he did in the playoffs then he's well worth where he was drafted.
i think the RISK that he might not makes him a later round pick
but to those who BELIEVE he will continue to shine, and now that Gerber is out of town will get heavy minutes with a still potent team in front of him,... the pick could be good
conn smythe ROOKIE lol piked to early in the second round lmao, rick nash a guy who shoulda gone top 6-8 at 21 how is that not a steal u people r insane. phillippeee u pick brian gionta who after his last nhl season is going be asking for 5.5 mill from u, now that i dont think is really worth it, paying 6.25 for nash who scored 41 goals in the nhl as a 19 yr old with no one on his line seems reasonable to me

I don't even have Gionta. I drafted him for Columbus.
