Draft Eligibility Question

On the main page under the draft rules it states that

"Any prospect 23 and under who has NOT played an NHL game will be available through entry drafts."

Yet on the list of available players there are a number of prospects at the bottom who haven't played an NHL game, yet they seem to be available...?

Just need some clarification on this so I can start my draft list.

Thanks!

I'm guessing that shouldn't be there and only this should:
- Any prospect 23 and under who has NOT played an NHL game and IS NOT DRAFTED will be available through entry drafts.

Either way, I think all of those prospects should be available for the Fantasy Draft. We should keep only the 2006 draftees for our 1st entry draft. Otherwise the 1st entry draft is going to be disgustingly and needlessly stacked.

Dont worry CBJ.....

The way this draft is, as it has been endlessly explained to me by Bryce, can be summed up like this:

#1) Every single able-bodied human being that you want to draft is eligible to be taken in our 50-round opening draft with the exception of players drafted in the 2006 (or 2007,2008,etc.) draft.

#2) The players WHO DID NOT GET DRAFTED IN OUR 50-ROUNDER and who have been drafted before 2006 (anyone in Crosby's draft or older) but haven't played an NHL game yet, would then go into next years draft along with all the 2006 prospects.....

A perfect example of this is Dustin Penner. He did not get drafted in the BRHL because he wasn't very heralded and hadn't played a game, but since he made an impact on the NHL this season he was eligible to be drafted, and was taken 25th overall in the Crosby draft year....

So basically what Im saying is there are 4 separate groups of players:

1) Anyone drafted in our 50-round draft

2) Anyone not drafted in 50-round draft----23 years and under with no NHL games played

3) Anyone not drafted in 50-round draft----24 or older OR has played an NHL game (any age)

4) 2006 Draft-eligible prospects

Groups 2 and 4 go into next years draft. Group 3 goes into waivers.

Hope this was some help.

Rex put it better than I probably could have, he is correct.
