I will say I personally have known that this would be the deadline for weeks and have had the time to make deals. I totally get if the deadline is tonight, but just wanted to see what the commissioners and GMs thought.

My only concern is will it even matter? Do we extend the trade deadline only to have no action and nobody in the chatroom? At the most, there was three GM's in the chatroom yesterday (at one time). Absolutely pathetic for a trade deadline. Maybe it's better just to plug away and get this **** show over with.

To be honest, I think one other major reason for a lack of trades was that 75% of teams seem to be at the salary cap because they sign guys to 10M dollar deals at UFA time. This handcuffs them in a lot of moves, or at minimum means a deal must be even dollar for dollar.

I sent at least 10 GMs feeler PMs leading up to the deadline and yet I didnt receive any PMs from any GMs feeling out what I had. I was always the first to initiate dispite posting a decent trade block.

Well ya, many like myself posted a trade block and expected offers. Bad idea.

I was in a transition year and basically after the draft decided I wasn't going to make any moves and just wait out the year for rerates.

The sim itself and the schedule I think has also caused a lot of problems. As Kevin said I think/hope a good offseason and a new year will rejuvinate things.

my vote goes to a total kick/restart to our league.. my personal opinion is we do the LEAGUE draft again.. Put alllllllll players and prospects drafted in the RNH class and before and then set a draft order randomly and lets go at it again..

personally i dont think this league has a chance to get back to where it was without a huge shake-up...

Meh. Does anyone take anything Kirk says seriously? I severely doubt it

I am not in favor of a huge shakeup like Kirk is suggesting. The league will revamp next season, I can feel it. I think the core is still pretty solid.

Again, I think one major problem is that teams are constantly spending to the max cap number and this has hindered a ton of negotiations. UFA is a big problem. Teams handcuff themselves without knowing it.
