The Sim issues you guys speak of are Eric's domain,
I just know that if I view the Portal in IE I cannot use the team logos at the top of the page and no player pics work at all (this may be server related) Google Chrome works perfectly for me though, as does FF
These are the kinds of things I am looking for, goalie call up and missed sims are Eric's area

Ok, guys we have had the Portal up for a little while now, there are issues still that I know about..but I need to know specifics from your experience visiting it, please let me know what troubles you are having and what browser you use to visit the Portal with
Flyers have had exactly 0 issues with the portal, and 0 issues with the STHS v2 since about the first few weeks of the season... I use Internet Explorer browser on my PC...
I really dont understand what all the complications are with other people... if you have an injury or suspension or something happen with your roster DURING ANY GAME, then the next game people shouldnt be surprised to find the computer has made errors...
Anyways, absolutely having no issues whatsoever with the site and am loving the portal.

Ya Rex that's all true, except it doesn't work that way when the sim schedule is screwed up (as it was last night) and we don't get the chance to deal with stuff like that.
Yes, when one sim gets missed for whatever reason and then a double sim happens to make up the one that gets missed you wind up with an auto line-up. I waited for the previous days sim to go up before setting my line-up hoping for a injured players return...went to bed without seeing it posted....then got up this morning to see back to back losses with auto'd line-ups. Once again, the lesson learned should be to just do your line-up daily whether you have a sim or not to avoid these hiccups and then re-set them if/when players return to the line-up. I must say that I am really not a fan of double sims however as obviously with the high injuries and fighting majors so far this season, line-ups are changing quite frequently and the back half of a double sim could be a bit of an f-up!
My problems aren't related to the portal. Fighting still seems a little high and the goalie call-ups when lines aren't sent in. Why do farm goalies get called up even if both pro goalies are healthy? That's the most annoying thing.
Cool... I havent had any bad luck with injuries yet on those double sims.. thats why I havent noticed i guess....
Yeah my issues are non-portal related and I just posted this in another forum, but my big concern is the finances.. so many teams are already at $0... my team is losing money fast and thats at +95% capacity every game... So I assume every single team is losing money... which NEEDS FIXED!!
Fighting is still TOO HIGH
And yes the farm goalie thing would piss anybody off....
these seem like simulator issues though. Is there anybody we can talk to regarding how to set these properly??
Would go a great length to making this league run smoothly, and thus bring the activity up back to a respectable level...

I can navigate fine around the portal using firefox and IE (i am using version 9). I get to anywhere I want to go, including using the logos on the top row. But things I see that may be considered portal issues:
-Like you mentioned the player images. I can't get them to load in neither IE nor Firefox
-Many players have a 0 for age. This is really noticable on the finance page when you are looking to see who your RFAs and UFAs for next year (and beyond)are.
-Don't know if this portal/league issue, but haven't see anyone, including myself, be able to pick up a free agent all year. I know earlier when I put in for a player, the portal noted my offer, but nothing happened with the player. So in a nutshell, I would expect to the available FA lists reflect those who can be claimed, and for the portal to make the transaction completely.
(1) The depth charts on the portal. Can we get them so every player has the proper flag and age? It would clean things up a lot in my opinion.
(2) Player birthdays and, in turn, their ages. All players should have the same birthday (ie. July 1) so that players don't age according to their real life birthdays. This could make things really difficult when it comes to signing contracts.

1) This would entail Eric editing every Canadian player in the sim manually, this might better be acheived when Bryce does the new rates, he can replace Country for Province with a mass replace. The issue is the Canadian players birth place is listed as province, not country.
2) Seems like an odd request to me, why and how would all players have the same birthday, IMO, part of the realism of sim leagues is the players age as his real counterpart and the creativity needed to succeed, much like a real NHL GM

Well, I think it would avoid confusion if all the players aged at the same time in the offseason. It was always that way before this year, when we switched to the new sim.
