How could James Sheppard be selected in the waiver draft? He was injured for all of last season and therefore shouldn't even be available for play. Don't players need at least 10 games played to receive ratings? Shouldn't Sheppard be listed within his team's prospects section instead?
nope i guess they all get ratings.. thats what issue was with LA and his goalies.. he figured that Harding would be moved to prospect list seeing as he didnt play last year. but instead had to expose brent johnson

Not if it's injury related.. always been that way in the BRHL at least.
it used to be the rule in brhl2 aswell. Erik Johnson was on prospect list for a year in our league with that knee injury he had.. i guess the rule has changed..

We detailed early in the offseason guys with injuries were getting ratings just discounted. Gives us a uniform policy across the board, and allows us to track contracts easier. Guys had ratings, no reason to think they shouldnt have to be protected etc.
sorry. i knew my pick would cause controvery but the updates the commishes sends they try and clarify everything they can. besides im taking a gamble on sheppard. he looks like a bust in the nhl.

curious what the situation would be with a guy like Kurt Sauer off the caps shouldnt he have some rates.. (would help washington meet roster requirements some)

1 game played in the 2009-2010 season and nothing since... [cough]
Is that the best you've got? It's obvious that Sauer was removed from BRHL's ratings prior to last offseason. Hence the reason he's still unavailable.
I truly hope you didn't have to research that example to hard, Kirk becuase it's a terrible arguement.
