Waiver Draft Rule Clarification

Since this was deleted in the other thread....

Rule 1 in the waiver draft thread seems to conflict with Rule 9 in the Waivers section of the "official" rules:

"In the Waiver draft, teams do not need to protect players 23 and younger, and can protect up to 20 skaters, and 3 goalies. If you claim a player in waiver draft and are then over the limits, you must unprotect someone. If you claim someone but are still under the limits, you do NOT have to unprotect anyone."

I know a few GMs have been organizing their rosters heading into the waiver draft based on this rule, myself included. Can you please clarify?

Well, if you look closely, the rules have been changed in the waiver draft thread.

That's kind of my point... if this is the first time that this rule change has shown up, it's not really fair to have this rule implimented on the eve of the waiver draft...

My point is, READ THE RULES in the waiver draft thread. They have since been changed to read what you posted above. That's why your post was deleted.

yup.

as I stated, if I am fixing things, I will just revise the thread so it stays clean and people dont have to keep reading through it
