Waiver draft will begin at noon EST on SATURDAY November 5th. Teams will have 8 hours to make their selection, otherwise they will be passed and not able to go back and make a transaction. After 1 week, we will finish the waiver draft LIVE Friday November 12th. Time TBA.
Rosters MUST be submitted by 10pm EST on Friday November 4th. Otherwise the auto roster will be ran for you. UPDATE IS UP. It will tell you who you are exposing.
Teams are asked to PM the next team up, but it is not mandatory, so do not rely on it.
RULES
1. You can have up to 23 players on your pro roster, but you MUST be cap compliant. Of those 23 all 23 can be "protected" Those are players 24 and over. Should you want to select a player in the waiver draft, you must have room, or announce the player you are dropping when you select them.
2. Teams can ONLY have 3 players taken in the waiver draft. The only exceptions are if after 3 players you try and demote someone making more than 1.5 million or a 23 and under player who didnt play 5 AHL games. THEY WILL BE EXPOSED REGARDLESS OF THE AMONT OF PLAYERS CLAIMED.
3. All players exposed in the 3rd round, will remain on waivers until 24 hours (and the exact deadline will be announced) at which time they can be claimed. Teams may make multiple claims at that time, but will be dropped to the bottom of the priority list after their first claim.
4. There will be a roster freeze while the waiver draft occurs. You may NOT demote/promote anyone during the draft, unless it is your selection.
5. Of the 23 protected players you are allowed. no more than 21 can be skaters, no more than 3 can be goalies.
6. There is 3 rounds in the waiver draft
Specifications/Examples
1. You do not need to protect players 23 and under. The only influence they have is on the amount of room on your 23 man roster. The only way they would be exposed to waiver draft is if you try and put them in minors and they either make more than 1.5 million OR they did not play 5 AHL games last NHL season.
2. If a team has 21 players on their pro roster, but only 18 need to be protected, they can claim a player in the waiver draft without exposing anyone. As long as they stay at or under 23 players on the pro roster, and 23 or fewer protected players. They CAN expose someone, or multiple someones, should they so choose.
3. A team has had 3 players selected. It is their turn in the waiver draft in round 1 or 2. They can select (or not select) a player and demote any player(s) they want who are 24 and over and making less than 1.5 million. Those player(s) will be waiver exempt (until they play 10 pro games next season). If the demote any player(s) in round 3. They will be exposed for 24 hours after, regardless of how many players they have had claimed.

Please post any questions or things you would like clarified here. I will update the thread as we need to but keep this section clean, so if you see your post deleted, that is why.
This is NOT the spot to air any grievances or suggest changes to the system. We have some things we will look at for the future, but this is not the time, nor place.
File should be uploaded. You should see every player you have on your pro roster. Send your lines in with the adjustments. REMEMBER to make sure your 23 and younger guys got their 5 AHL games in last year so they're eligible. Anyone 24 and over will prompt you before putting them on waivers.
Files should be update to the point where you can do lines/rosters for waiver draft. Theres just some tweaks we need to run in the sim program before we can roll forward.
I did a quick scan of the rosters and there are few teams have more than 23 players on their roster.
The ones I noticed are:
Kings
Devils
Flames
Red Wings
Stars
What happens with these teams?
Players under the age limit that don't need to be exposed are on these rosters. These teams are protecting all of their assets as well as having those younger players on their roster.
Well, with my team, I have 24 players on my roster but, if you notice, Petr Prucha doesn't have a contract. He can go on waivers but I wasn't allowed to send him down (since his contract is too low) when I did my lines.

Fair point.

Now, I see other guys with no contract in the minors. But, I may have been the first guy to send in my lines a few days ago and, at that time, I couldn't send Prucha down to the farm. So, feel free to put him on the farm and expose him.

Joudrey and Oystrick were grabbed from the RFA but they weren't added to my roster until the last minute. I emailed that they would be available in the waiver draft when I sent my protected list in.
