Whats the precedent we've set before? Is it based on original offer time or from when bidding closed is documented?

The Ducks would greatly appreciate Commissioner Eric's ruling on this today as there are several UFAs that are of interest to us and we need to know what kind of cap space we are dealing with.

As our argument, we would submit that Franson should be Ducks property as the Bruins had ample time match and chose to wait until the very minute before what they "incorrectly" thought was the deadline to match. A new 48-hour clock began ticking the very moment after 48 hours passed from the time Anaheim made their original offer sheet to Franson. That time expired at 9:40pm EST on October 15, 2011.
