SEASON 6 BEGINS!

Expect a full update tonight with the new looks and views of the files in v2. I recommend you download the STHS client for this version http://sths.simont.info/DownloadFiles.php?id=STHS-V2-Client-2-0-7.zip and there is a Mac version as well http://sths.simont.info/DownloadFiles.php?id=STHS-V2-Client-Mono-2-0-7.zip

Eric will have the files up tonight, with all contracts put in, finances moved forward etc..

Trading will open tomorrow likely (Eric to confirm).

A few announcements

1. Rob Botham has packed his franchise up and moved to Vancouver. All his players/picks etc will move with him.

2. So it is the Ottawa franchise that is available (formerly the Canucks roster). The New York Rangers also remain available. May have a GM lined up for one of those teams as of tonight. If not, I will be running any open teams as usual until they are filled.

3. Expect a quick turnaround to the draft. Likely no more than 2 weeks

4. UFA will open early in October most likely. The semi-goal is to start our season November 1st. but that is VERY tenative.

5. The Thrashers franchise will be renamed the Winnipeg Jets. They will stay in the Southeast this season, and then we anticipate realignment when the NHL does the same.

6. If you havent already, get your RFA done ASAP.

Looking forward to a great season. Should be a fun offseason as usual.

upon option 5 .. will we be behind still the nhl by 1 year.. so it will actually be 2 seasons before our league puts the jets in a new division?

I see what you're saying Dave, but just one year behind there as well.

Here's a sneak peak of the new files on the V2 (Version 2) sim:

It's a work in progress, and we are fixing stuff on the fly. Main thing: Draft Picks are going to be corrected tomorrow

Are we still allowing tags this season?

Adam Burish was already signed, he was in my first batch of RFA signings.

"Calgary signs Adam Burish. 1 year, $1,500,000." (from the RFA signing thread)

Petr Prucha was not given a contract offer so he will be a UFA (so that's correct).

Jonathan Cheechoo has a $20M salary so please fix. I think he should have one year left at $4M if memory serves me.

Quick question that I may have overlooked the answer:

What ever came of the players who were signed to deals to be up for their last RFA, but the new sim goes off of their real birthday?

i think there are no more tagging.. the last tags were for last season.. which brings me to eric or bryce... there is an "N" beside Johan Franzen which means he is supposed to be tagged and get his contract again from last season.. which is 1,000,000

thanks

If you have someone that his pertains to, please contact me so we can get that straightened out. We have a few different options in we can shorten the deal so they expire when RFA, or we can simply add years (and different values) onto the deal based on where they would have been at the end of the deal. This will be a case by case basis.

In regards to tagging questions, please see tagging post

This may have happened with Burish. I signed him to a one year deal thinking he would be 27, not 28, which would now make him a UFA instead of a RFA.

Cool - will contact you via email after I go over all my recent RFA signings compared to the new V2 files.

Cheers!

Since we are playing the upcoming BRHL2 season based on last season NHL, the Thrashers should still be the Thrashers.
