Nuts.. only 2 nashville players on the list... im never going to understand how this works... i just drafted Evander Kane last season and yet he doesnt make this list... it really blows cause its happened to me 3 times now.. with JVR and with Karl Alzner.

does anyone really have a clue how a player can make this list in the draft we do one year behind the nhl?

we got money rewards.. i want to be rewarded haha

It's cause Kane played in the NHL right away.. they'll have a games played cut off (don't know the number for THN) that disqualifies them.  If you want guys on this list, don't draft players already in the NHL.

that might actually be the worst thn top 50 ever.. homerun forsure top line nhl'ers on that list their maybe 4-5.. the rest their alot of question marks..

with so many young nhl'ers going straight to nhl, skinner, burmistrov, segiun, hall, tavares, duchene, oreilly, hedman, etc etc etc,,, i think we do need to relook at how this cash is handed out based off a thn list that is totally **** imo.. (and i have like 4-5 kids on the list) but lets be real NJ should be paid to have drafted and keep duchene.. ifffff pitt's woulda been rebuilt in this league properly and he drafted Stamkos, Pajrvi the last two years his team would still suck, so if he were to be on a rebuilding mode i think he should be compensated $$ wise for having top prospects like a stamkos..

Kane wouldn't be on any top prospect list.. HF or anything so get over him.

That being said, my first thought, despite having the top 2 prospects, are that it is a horrid list.

I disagree.  NJ is already compensated for having Stamkos and Duchesne....he is competing for the playoffs.  The whole point of awarding money based on top prospects is to give incentive for teams to think long term and not trade all their prospects for immediate help.  Stamkos and Duchesne are immediate help.  There is no incentive to trade them.

Sure, it would be nice to get money for Doughty being on my team, but I made money last year by making the playoffs and I might again this year.

To give money for NHL players on the roster would be to give teams double the reward.

completely agree with Rich here.. the top prospects list is for those at the bottom of the league who are - or SHOULD BE :) stockpiling guys 2-3 years away...

You don't find me agreeing with Rex too often, but this is one of those cases.

If you guys want, I could trade you one of the guys on this list for one of the players in question for not making the list. You can have the money, I'll take the player.

That is a bad list by THN some questionable names but whatever....

I think the list rewards GM's and gives them money for being good at drafting.  Everybody knows Stamkos Hall Doughty Kane etc are going to be good players its the Leddy Dalpe Eakin etc on the list that GM's should be rewarded for drafting or trading for.

I better improve my scouting department I only have 2 on the list :)

I have no issue with this list other than Dustin Tokarski not being on it, what gives :)...

You get rewarded already for having young impact players in your lineup now. Rebuilding, good drafting teams should be rewarded in this process.

My two cents and that is about all they are worth...
