All of the insane NHL trading yesterday got me thinking of what I wanted to do with my team heading into the deadline.
The answer, unfortunatly, is not much.
I belive in the roster that I put together, and know that they have the right skills and balance to make a deep run in the playoffs. I like to think that their position in the standings is because I've had a rash of injuries, and a lack of depth.
I would like to make a few changes to the squad, but I am right up against the salary cap, and as of today have not paid to use next year's draft picks yet. I dont have a ton of prospect or minor league assets, as I traded most of those to build up the current team. And no Kirk, stop asking me about Kassian.
If anyone sees anyone on my roster and wants to discuss, please email me. As if now, I do still think I can contend, but if I get hit with another wave of injuries and fall out of a playoff spot, the guys on expiring contracts will be moved.
email is the best way to get ahold of me, ianintheam@yahoo.com
