The Ducks are shopping Ville Leino for blueline help. Based on his play this year, Leino is poised for a HUGE ratings boost next year (15 pts in 18 GP so far - also +9). So while he may only play a 3rd or 4th line role for you this year, he's a top-six forward for you next year and years to come.
In return we're looking for a solid d-man with 80+ DF ratings. He must be signed to a decent contract and young 27 or under (and not a UFA in 2 years or less) or, if older than 27, signed for at least 3 years.
Alternatively, I may look at moving one of my two blue-chip blueline prospects (both playing in the NHL) - Luca Sbisa or Kevin Shattenkirk.
Other guys on the block:
Teddy Purcell (playing a top-six role in TB) Bobby Butler (tearing up the AHL - to be called up by Sens soon?) Linus Omark (5 goal performance in Oklahoma... Edmonton can't be far off) Fabian Brunnstrom (is someone willing to take a chance on the former "can't miss" prospect?)
