same could be said about my trio (jones, Pisani, Moreau).
Just like last year, once teams have had 3 guys sent claimed, they have some flexibility to send guys down, we do not allow 23 and under with less than 5 AHL games to clear that way, nor do we allow guys at 1.5 million + to clear either.

I think the ruling was that you had to demote them during the 2nd round of the waiver draft; which is why I demoted Ersberg and was debating about demoting Yip.
Yup... I was right. From Eric:
I further clarified the ruling on the waiver rules.
Anyone placed on waivers during round 3 will remain on waivers for 24 hours.
These players are being placed on waivers during round 2, so they will be exempt.

I just thought of a question; are the waiver rules in the league similar to that of NHL with regards to teams claiming someone off of waivers, and then trying to farm the player themselves?
In the NHL, the team that lost the player in the first place gets first crack at them on the waiver wire, and if they choose to re-claim the player, they have the right to send them to the farm without having to further go through the waiver process.
An update will be coming tonight. A full league update index / portal / league files.
I will be in the process of clarifying some waiver rules for the season and the steps that should be taken in the actual league rules. But I will explain them here.
The way the waivers had worked in the past was the sim had a 10 game allowance (much like the NHL ruling for Junior eligible player), where if a player stays up for 10 BRHL2 games, the player would have to clear waivers upon being demoted.
In the sim, we are *Technically* removing that 10 game allowance, and I will be dropping the limit to 0 games played. REST ASSURED, PLAYERS WILL STILL HAVE 10 GAMES TO PLAY IN THE PRO'S BEFORE THEY'RE EXPOSED TO WAIVERS. But, by doing this, it makes it easier for me to track players through waivers.
What this does is makes everyone clear waivers. Everyone marked "Trade Available" with an * will remain on waivers. But if the player has previously been demoted, and still has 10 games to go up and down (tracked via their games played through the season) I will remove them from the waiver wire, and they will be demoted instantly to your farm club. Some players have "No Trade" checked on them in the sim, this is because they have been tagged. They will also have to clear waivers, but will not have a * next to their name.
Doing it this way exposes everyone initially (like the NHL), and then if they clear the waivers, I will remove the *, and then they will have their 10 game BRHL2 limit. If they are under 10 games, they do not have to clear waivers (IF THEY FIT INTO THE UNDER 1.5 Million + 24 AND OLDER RULING, OBVIOUSLY).
Call it laziness, but I have marked everyone in the Pro's as "Trade Available"with an *. Upon a waiver claim, I will triple check their availability (if they're 23 and younger who've played 5 AHL games and/or if they've played less than 10 BRHL2 games after they've already cleared waivers previously).
When you're demoting players in the sim, it will ask you if you want to place everyone on waivers (IF THEY'RE 24 AND OLDER). So please keep an eye on their games played. If they've played under 10 BRHL2 games, they will clear.
I think you guys will understand what is going on here, it is mainly for tracking purposes. The rules still remain. It just makes tracking much easier for me.
Please feel free to ask your questions, I'm sure you guys will have some.

What's the process for us?
Typically we've gone with reverse standings. I wouldn't be opposed to changing.
If we got something like a 2/3 majority, I wouldn't have a problem switching.

I am also in agreement with the Hawks point...if players were to be claimed and then immediately sent to farm teams, then we would just have a claiming war going on as players become free assets to those that claim them. Players claimed should be placed on pro rosters and if later demoted should be offered back to the team they came from without penalty to them( obviously off-season claims exempt from this rule).
I would support the rule change just for the sake of consistency with the NHL, even though I really hate this rule.
I think it should be that if the player CLEARS waivers the original team should get to dump the player in the minors. It makes no sense to me that the player is offered back to the original team to play in the minors if there are other teams willing to keep the player in the NHL.
This may not the appropriate spot for this but I thought I'd put it here anyways. I claimed Steven Reinprecht after the waiver draft on Monday but he's still on Phoenix's roster.
