I have never heard NHL GM's (specifically the Team USA 2010 staff of Burke, Poile, Holmgren, R. Wilson) talk so glowingly about the future of a player as they did about Drew Stafford...
so even though he had a terrible year last season, and I had a few good offers for the guy, I decided to keep him and buy out all his RFA years (5 yr - $2.14 mil)
It looks like this season, it will all pay off.
Playing on the #1 line and #1 PP unit with derek roy (who is also going to have a great year) Stafford should see a monumental increase in all his stats.
Kirk made fun of me a few weeks ago for "reading to much into preseason" and claiming Stafford would have a break-out 25G-35A-60P season...
What are your thoughts on this player?
Do you have a player who is under-the-radar that you think will make a huge leap this year?
Discuss!

I'm partial to late round gems I have uncovered. As such, I am sure I value Jason Demers and Carl Gunnarson more than most. I think Demers will have a big year.
i have tomas kopecky who when with the wings was no more than a 3rd line guy. .but this season he is suppposly taking versteeg's spot and playing some top line minutes.. so i am happy i have held on to him.. now to see if he can really produce a 30 goal season
Personally, I'd take the younger player in the same situation. Plays on the top line and 1st PP for Buffalo as well, but is only 20. Right Bryce?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!
