- Players 23 and younger CANNOT go to minors unless they a) are making less that 1.499,999 per season b) played at LEAST 5 AHL games last season c) Played less than 15 NHL games, and no games at any other pro level
FYI, you may want to revise your list of who is eligible for the minors as these guys are all full-time NHLers who are 23 or under:

All make less than 1.5 M I didn't really understand that rule as I won't be sending most of those guys down and it isn't a issue but I'm obviously missing something. What was the point of this? To stay under the cap or just make sure teams understand the waiver rules thing prior to signing guys?

I believe the rule is so that young NHL players are not buried in the minors...
