Today Im pleased to announce that George Bachul will be accepting a front office role with the BRHL2 in an effort to still remain a part of the community and continue to help the league grow.
With that being said, George has created a position that really adds to not only the BRHL2, but all the BRHL leagues. He has accepted the role of BRHL Scouting and Draft Supervisor. Both titles will offer different results but George had expressed interest in both, allowing him to keep himself busy throughout the year while not being mandated to follow the time and schedule of a BRHL2 GM.
The BRHL Scouting Supervisor will head an exciting project of developing our very own BRHL Central Scouting service. The BCS will progressively start to create profiles for each prospect and will also aim to analyze players 23 and under. This will be an ongoing project and isnt something that will happen overnight. The goal is to create a quick reference for each GM to use as they see fit. While some sites will offer analysis, these profiles will be created in-house.
The Draft Supervisor will help relieve Bryce and my position while running the Entry Drafts. We will still help and be around in some capacity. But George is going to help run things, allowing Bryce to make more incorrect selections, while I add gems to my team.
I think it goes without saying, but to just throw it out there (because for some reason I feel the need to), that while the BCS will be considered a reliable and efficient resource, it will not be considered gospel in any form of negotiation (trade, re-signing or argument with the commissioners). In short, take it as a very important and welcomed entertainment service for the entire BRHL community. We understand that most of you have your own forms of scouting and preparation for approaching the BRHL, however, we feel this will add significant depth and quality to the entire BRHL.
Congratulations George, and I know I cannot wait till we get the ball rolling on these.

Side note: I havent rule out the possibility of looking for helpers regarding the BCS. If youre interested, please PM me.

Great to see you back and involved George. I think this a great idea and it will really add to the league.
Is this Scouting Bureau going to release ratings and scouting reports prior to the draft that year?
Or will we have a one year delay on any player rankings and scouting reports?
I'd prefer the latter as I feel one of my biggest assets has been my drafting but as Eric pointed out there are many places to get information and scouting reports anyway. Either way..... glad you never really left and look forward to talking to you whenever George.
Because of the draft being a year behind, I am likely going to provide rankings and information based on the BRHL draft year.
Rankings would be for the Tavares/Hedman draft this year. I have sufficient information to do either year, but as has always been the case in all BRHL leagues, the draft is a year later.
