With what seems to be odd timing, Co-GM of the Chicago Blackhawks George Bachul has resigned from their board of directors and will officially retire from the BRHL2 at the end of the season.
"I would say that it was because I jokingly predicted that the Sharks would win our series in 5 and they are up 3 games to 1 but that isn't the case." laughed Bachul.
It has been a successful run for the team with one championship and another finals appearance in the short history of the team.
Bachul leaves all direction of the team to David Yee, and offered up consulting help to David in the future. "If Dave wants my advice...that will always come for free."
Yee was unavailable for comment. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In all seriousness, it has been fun guys. I wish you all well, and will keep my messageboard account (Which I should have done in the BRHL as well), and poke around as time permits.
No acrimonious exit, just someone that doesn't feel committed to his team or spend enough time on it for it to be successful.
Bryce and Eric are great....and wish all the BRHLs the best of success.
Have a great rest of season and good luck next year.
Didn't always see eye to eye with you on league matters but it was always a pleasure to talk with you! Good luck hope to see you back in the league at some point.

Well there is no doubt that the hockey knowledege in the core of the BRHL (s) far exceeds any other league I have been involved in.
I am sure I will miss the hockey talk. Maybe Eric and Bryce will offer me up a position upstairs in administration so I don't have to worry about day to day babysitting?
Well... Can't say that I didn't see this coming, but I'd wish you'd reconsider... it won't be the same without you! But best of luck buddy! Don't know how I'll manage without you!
I'm honestly sad. Competition is what makes a league like this fun. George you were one of the best. Will be missed greatly. I'm expecting you to be back after a one year sabbatical?
