After acquiring players at the trade deadline, Claude Lemieux was sent to the minors to stay at league maximum for players on pro roster. At this time, St. Louis Blues picked Lemieux up off of waivers. Claude Lemieux was drafted late in last year's draft making him a rookie in this league. In the rulebook it states:
"1.All rookies are exempt from waivers." No where in the rules defines a player being over 24 not a rookie even if they are drafted that year. I am posting this grievance in hopes the league will follow it's rules and ensure Claude Lemieux returns to the Montreal Canadiens, the team that drafted him last year as a rookie to the league.
The problem with this is that he's not listed as a rookie. I believe players drafted above a certain age do not get entered into the league as rookies (I believe Bryce uses 26 as the barometer). Just because a player was drafted doesn't mean his first season is his rookie season, and it's generally noted by their rookie status in the sim or on the site.
