In the well known trade between brothers one thing was learned. Bryce has no loyalty.. Kessel has been HIS guy like HEMSKY is our guy in Atlanta. To watch ur own brother sell his soul in a trade.. no matter the return or price i WIN.
The deal ended up being,
Phil Kessel, Nikolai Kulemin, Michal Jordan and 2 million dollars for Shea Weber, Atl-Buf 3rds, St.l 6th
G.M's thoughts, "Getting past the fact Bryce sold off on his boy is a win itself, but all in all we really like the deal for our squad. Kessel's 86scoring, and 94speed will be huge asset to add on a line with Ilya Kovalchuk and Marc Savard. Phil is a great young American born kid and will join other Americans like R.Miller, K.Okposo, E.Johnson, C.Wilson in shaping a nice little American click in the dressing room. Nokolai Kulemin is a kid we really like aswell as he is on the top line in Toronto now and playing some PK aswell, at 3 yrs 850k we feel he will be a quality piece for his salary if he sticks around."
There is a difference between stealing a soul and losing a deal! Bryce realized that no matter how big his man crush is on Kessel if he could hose somebody for him it's a great deal. If only I could find our list of top 50 players so I can laugh or ROFL from all of the GM's in this league who actually thought/think Hemsky is a good player!
