Any leafs fans in denial thinking their moves will change anything? Any canucks fans want to make fun of the Flames? Anyone want to dare challenge the Atlantic as being the best division in the NHL right now? Any predictions?

Atl trades Colby Armstrong to Pittsburgh. Colby still has a massive following in PGH, and they are talking about adding a winger. He has played with Sid, and would be a good fit. They keep saying Ray Whitney to Pittsburgh, but i think their are too many teams in the running for him, the price on Armstrong would be less.

I can see the Canucks picking up a third line center.... and then use him until the playoffs when Wellwood actually picks up his play and puts down his fork.... other than that, i would like them to dump Demitra's salary off the books, he's pretty much useless on the third line
as a fan of the Dallas Stars for numerous years and knowing the team inside out. There will be big changes at the trade deadline. and more importantly the team will cut payroll alot considering they may sell the team..
And yes perhaps.. maybe perhaps.. Mike modano getting traded to get one more shot at a cup.. Contender... YUCK!!!... Detroit Red Wings
What about solving both problems above and moving Modano to vancouver?
They do have a history of picking up well past their prime centers for only half a season.

Would rather see us pick up Peter Mueller from the Coyotes or Jay McClement from the Blues.... Gillis doesn't seem to go after rentals, I think if he moves anything of value, it would be for an asset that we would keep for next year...
