is now the newest member of the now Montreal KENNEDY-ans!!! GM Tomayko proudly announced the trade that acquired the fan favorite star, Tyler Kennedy:
"We're working out the legality rights with Ken Anderson to continue his video presentations every time Tyler comes out and lights up the net for our team. We traded Fleischmann, a player we were very hesitant on moving, for Kennedy. We solidified our Center position for when we lose Fedorov in the offseason. We're still working on searching a good home for Michael Ryder/Jiri Hudler/Ruslan Fedotenko/Dan Ellis. Likely, if we trade Ryder or Feds, we will keep the other during the offseason."
Not intending to be the new Thrashers of the league, but the Canadiens have made another deal that moves Michael Ryder and Dan Ellis to Toronto for JF Jacques and Kris Chucko.
Ellis' days were numbered when GM Tomayko took in Jon Quick and Rick Dipietro. Dipietro appears to be the starter this season with Dubielewicz expecting to be called up while Quick mans AHL Hamilton.
Michael Ryder knew his time was coming once trade rumors began with him being the focal point in the offers. He is an excellent 2nd line winger that will help out the Leafs possibly on their top line this season.
Farm players Jacques and Chucko were great returns for the Habs. Both players look promising to the squad as 2nd line candidates of the future. Adding these two with Kennedy earlier today, the Canadiens added a whole forward line for the price of 2 and a goalie to be scratched nightly till trade.
With these trades, the Canadiens should see call ups of Dubielewicz in net and introducing Claude Lemieux to the BRHL2. Other arrangements may be made, but it seems as though the KENNEDY-ans are happy where they are with maybe shopping around Hudler all the way to the deadline.
