Coming off a 3-0 shutout of the Bruins last night the team took an off day to travel up to Boston for the second half of a back to back..
The teams G.M however was still active in trade discussions on this friday. Looking to keep aquiring depth to his pro team G.M Shuck had asked the Kings about UFA center Mike Comrie.
After some negociations the teams struck up a deal that looks like this.
Going to LA is prospects C.Gillies and N.Palmieri
Coming to Atlanta is Mike Comrie, T.J Hensick, R.Holzapfel, and La's 5th rounder.
G.M Shuck's thoughts on his lastest deal, "We wanted to continue to add depth to our pro squad, Mike has some solid offensive ratings and a very low 1 million dollar salary his ability to play all three forward positions will give him a chance to move up incase of any injury to our team. We really like the upside of T.J Hensick aswell we feel he will be a solid top 6 forward in his future. Holzapfel is a kid we've been after for awhile aswell because we like his two-way game and ability to win face-offs. Also picking up a top 5 round draft pick always helps us and currently gives us our 16th selection for next years draft passing Ottawa for the most picks currently held by any team in the BRHL2."
