Last year there was a rule that a player making over a certain amount could not play in the minors...I don't see it in the current rules. Am I correct that the rule has been scrapped with the implementation of the waiver system, or am I an idiot that can't read?
5.Players with a contract of 1.5 million or more may go to the farm, but they MUST clear waivers first. Even if they go the minors, their full salary will be paid. However, during the UFA period, they must be in the pros so their salary is reflected there.
