The rest of the off-season schedule

All right gentlemen. (welcome to the club Kirk)

We're nearing the end of the off-season and will be starting with the pre-season of the BRHL2 in August.

Right now, this is all tentative, but it is my planned schedule.

- First and foremost, it is my duty to clean up the errors currently on the web portal (shut up Ian). Make sure players are where they are supposed to be, and stay that way. *This task took a bit of a hit today as my laptop (what I use to update the players file because this cpu doesn't have excel) took a crap today. So I am having Bryce help me out when he can.* Annnndddd shut up Ian.

- On top of that, I am planning on fine tuning a few more parts to the site. I will be introducing the BRHL2 Index, which if you're in the BRHL are aware of. I'm also planning on linking all the indexes to the web portals. I'm sure I'll think of something, but that part is mainly me thinking out loud.

- After all the visual kinks are taken care of, the BRHL2 pre-season will start. I intend to do the usual, 2 games against each divisional team, and maybe 1-2 extras.

- At this time, we will open the ability for GMs to select one additional rivalry outside of your division. By BRHL2 default, rivalries are between divisional opponents. Each team is allowed extra.

- After the pre-season is done. I will be breaking up each team into 5 sections, 6 teams each. Each section is it's own invitational tournament. Teams will play each other team once, with the top teams in the section moving on to a 4 team final. More details will come with this as the date nears. This is intended to add some flavor to another exhibition so GMs can become used to the STHS Sim / Client as the regular season starts.  The division of teams will be done by me , and each section will have no more than one team from each division. My decisions of which teams are placed where will be based on a bunch of different factors and should be fun to see the outcome.

- After the invitational tournaments, the waivers / waiver draft will take place: http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=85830&p=3&topicID=28920257

- Then once the waivers are done and set in place, we will begin the regular season. My game plan is to start the BRHL2 season around the same time as the NHL, as it the timing of the two has worked out well for the league in the past.

Those are my intentions and I fully expect them to follow that path. The start of the pre-season is a bit conditional on how long it takes me to fix the kinks in the portal. Once I get a feel of when those will be completed I will announce when the start of the pre-season will start.

I'd like every GM that's able to, if you have a Mac / Apple CPU you're exempt, to submit lines through the web portal. It is very important that you learn how to use the STHS Client. Fully submitted text lines from a GM who could've made the changes through the Client is an easy way to make me unhappy.

In regards to the Client, please get acquainted with it. There are a lot of things you can do: name captains, set your arena's pricing scale, put players on the trade block, etc.

Feel free to post your questions and comments below. Except Ian.

Just wondering when the season will start up again seeing how we've completed the waiver draft?

Thought I had sent it in last waiver draft list. Regardless, we're good to go Monday.
