I also have to say that it was a pleasure dealing with George (and Dave indirectly as well).

We had been at it for a couple weeks and in the end we made a deal that both teams are very happy with.

2008-09 - missed playoffs (26th overall)
2009-10 - 7th place in Western Conference (99 pts), Conference Semi-Finals
2010-11 - missed playoffs (19th overall)

I will admit it was one of the best back and forth negotiations in any dealings I have had in a long time. Some guys are pretty easy going, some are hard asses.

Rob was a perfect combination of both. If anything has ever felt like a real NHL negotiation for us, this was it.
