Okay Bryce, we'll see. First and Foremost it was 36 goals not 40, secondly it's easy to judge a player after a good season, but if Cowen didn't have his knee injury he'd be top 4 minimum and Kessel had a 37 point sophmore season.

All I'm saying is it's easy to say Kessel is far more valuable now, but just wait a few years and I will gladly admit if I'm wrong.

If Pronger walks next season, it will beat the previous Philly trade for Lindros as my favorite.

Pronger is too far on the end of his career for a deal like that. I could understand it for Bouwmeester (if he was still under contract), but not Pronger. CFP will be another player for the Flyer fans to cry and whine about, "the refs / NHL is out to get us" when he takes too many penalties.

The Flyers will overpay for defense and offense, but when it comes to goaltending, they're dirt cheap. As a Penguins fan, and Flyers hater, I could not be happier.

The battle has been raging between Leaf, Oiler and Canuck fans. Since no Canadien fans have been involved, I figured I could make that statement. If there are any Habs fans here, Im welcome to compare/contrast our victory parades here on the message boards, since we have common enemys.

I remember 1993...but did block out the playoff loss to the Panthers from my memory.

I have a feeling that Philly will be this season's Tampa bay.

They have lost all their recent moves that have seen them trade good players and prospects/picks for "Broadstreet Bully" type players, and they are going to have to make another cost cutting trade to get under the cap.

I laughed so hard at that pronger trade, it was almost as satisfying as the annual penguins/flyers handshake, which is becoming quite the western pennsylvania tradition.

Ian, you're horrible on your stats in this board...We lost to the Islanders in game 7 of the Conference Semi's against the Islanders...trust me I remember crying as a little child then...We lost to the Panthers in 95/96 I believe in the Conf finals game 7 at home to set up an Avs Panthers final

do pens fan's not understand the reason they won this cup is because CP punished datsyuk-zetter-hossa for 7 games and the wings werent the same after.

ohh and eric BTW in the playoff's CP "owns" the ref so dont worry about him getting lots of calls.
