Down in Atlanta the hockey team has just come off a big playoff win in round one against division rival Carolina. The story of the week however is the news that the three top picks in next years upcoming draft were in town this week while the team had a couple days off between series.

The three young Canadian franchise changing players that were in town were Steven Stamkos, Drew Doughty, and Luke Schenn. These three kids are the top of the class and the Thrasher own 1st overall pick.

While being given the royal treatment of the town they viewed Falcons mini-camp, played 18 at Augusta with the teams G.M/Owner Kirk Shuck. Shuck ended up staying five under on the day while the others were all well above par. At the end of the day the kids had a chance to watch the Thrasher pro team get ready for the 2nd round of the playoffs watching a 5-5 battle between teammates. 



After the three kids had boarded a plane and out of Atlanta news broke that shocked us all. It was speculated all day, With the team owning the first overall pick it is wondered why they brought in the two blueliner's as Stamkos is clearly the best player in this class and since AO-Crosby-Malkin came into the league. 

With that G.M Shuck broke a big news that he had pulled the trigger after falling in love with those two d-men today golfing and made a move to aquire a pick that will land him one of them in Atlanta with Steven Stamkos.

Leaving our team after the playoffs will be 4th liner Peter Mueller, along with him go prospects R.Figren, B.Sonne, and the 11th overall and 13th overall picks in this upcoming draft.  In return we get the 3rd overall pick which will land one of the two d-men we had in today.. Also coming to town is the force that is B.Seabrook who is locked up to a nice 5 year 3.99 mill deal which brings him to another RFA contract. Another kid we got in this deal was L.Kasper who is a former first of the Sharks who we hope can earn a full time job their next year after playing some this year.
