Drayson Bouwman Ryan Stoa Logan Couture - G.M "Logan Couture is a kid we dealt what ended up being 18th overall pick for after being picked in the top 10 by the Sharks in the NHL we feel its a great trade. After having a great season 40 goals, 50 assists in 60 games in the OHL he will be a force once given the chance to play in SJ's top two lines NHL. D.Bouwman is a kid we traded up to draft last year and he didnt disappoint after potting 47 goals in the WHL this year, also should move into a top 2 line role in Carolina soon in the NHL. Stoa is a kid who had two solid years as a Frosh and Soph at Minnesota NCAA before getting injured for his junior year last year, coming back this season he had 46pts in 36games in the NCAA and was a force for Minnesota. His all-around game will give him a good look to make the Avalanche next year outta camp."
Simon Hjalmarsson Riley Nash Evgeny Dadonov- G.M " Riley is a kid we are very high on, After posting point per game in his frosh and sophmore years in the NCAA, we expect him to turn pro and play for the Oilers AHL team next year NHL, S.Hjalmasson is a kid we are also very high after his 6 pts (4g, 2 ass) in 6 games at the WJC for team Sweden. His production for Frolunda was pretty dominant for two years aswell well over PPG in top swedish junior league, this season in Hockey Allsvenskan the 2nd highest level of pro hockey in sweden he's netted 33pts in 40games. E.Dadonov is a kid we think has nice 2nd line NHL upside after potting 2g, 5assist in 7 games at the WJC for team Russia, he also showed nice snipe netting 11goals in the defensive dominanted KHL. "
Dwight King Brett Sonne Robin Figren - G.M " Sonne is a kid that we dealt for midseason this year and are very impressed with, posting 50goals 50assists in only 62 games (missed time playing on Canada's WJC team in a 3rd line checking role), once given a chance he will become a great third line center for the Blues NHL as Beglund-Oshie-Sonne will be a nice 1-2-3 down the middle. R.Figren is a kid with offensive skills that are at an all-world level, with the Isles having no scoring to speak of in NHL, after coming over from Europe and playing in the AHL at end of the year this talented kid could impress enough in camp to crack a weak NYI lineup. D.King is a kid we drafted last year and are happy to see put up his second point per game season in the WHL, at 6'3 220lbs, we feel he will become a solid poweforward once he turns pro."
Austin Smith Cody Almond Nick Palmieri- G.M " N.Palmieri is a young scrapper who we really like in the Devils system NHL, after getting moved to Belleville in the OHL he had a solid 20goals and then in the playoffs tapped in 10goals in 15games, with his 3 striaght years of 100+ PIM, we feel he has slightly more potential offensive than D.Clarkson in NJ while still bringing a fighter's mentality to the lineup. The maturation of Cody Almond is something the team is thrilled about Almond, 70Gp 33G 33Ass 66pts 105PIM, the thing that has the team excited has been Cody's play this postseason with 16GP 8G 14Ass 22Pts 35PIM he has been on a tear and is one of the leading players on the Kelowna Rockets. A.Smith is a kid who we feel will have an impact in the Dallas franchise, after over PPG in the BCHL had 67pts in 60games, then put up 31pts in his freshman season in 37games at Colgate NCAA, with him being a home born Dallas kid its not unlikely he could get a longer look when he gets a chance to play in the show.
Jean-Simon Allard Chris Van De Velde Maxime Macenauer- G.M "Chris Van De Velde is a Oiler prospect NHL who has made great strides since his draft, putting up back to back 35pt NCAA seasons at North Dakota, he will likely sign and compete for a 2nd/3rd line spot on the Oilers AHL team next season. JS Allard is a kid who has put up solid offensive seasons in the QMJHL, 56pts in 66games. This late rounder from last year continue's to develop into a decent offensive scorer as he has 12pts in 16games in the playoffs so far this year aswell. Were hoping his offensive side continues to develop and he can someday become a solid asset in the Buffalo NHL organization. MAX Macenauer is a kid with a solid two-way game which keeps making him attractive to teams trading in the QMJHL, Max has been moved 2 different times to contending teams for playoff runs, he is currently on the Shawinigan Cataractes as they picked him up for the playoffs this year.
Andrew Kozek Niclas Lucenius Justin Vaive- G.M "N.Lucenius is a kid who played for Tappara Tampere in the finish elite league and also played for Finland at the WJC last year, As a prospect in the Thrashers system NHL his defensive game from the forward position will help him get a chance to make their weak lineup. A.Kozek is a former 2nd rounder of the Thrashers in the NHL, after spending his NCAA days at North Dakota, Andrew has signed and is playing for the Thrashers AHL team NHL, again with the brutal team in Atlanta NHL this kid could get a look fairly soon and have a decent shot to make it in the NHL. Justin Vaive is a kid with solid size (6'4, 220lbs) in the Ducks organization NHL, a former 4th rounder who has decent hands in front of the net and size along the wall in offensive zone we hope he can develop into a banging 4th liner in the NHL like a T.Moen"
Ondrej Fiala Jesse Martin- Ryan Thang- G.M " Martin is a kid who put in 10 goals 13 assists in 35games playing 2nd line center for the U of Denver behind J.Colbourne, we drafted him late in year 1 draft and have been pleased with his NCAA development. . Ondrej is a solid offensive forward prospect who put up a PPG in the WHL for back to back season before leaving for overseas where he has put up 20 pts in 55games in the defensive Russian league. R.Thang is a two-way forward who is playing in the NCAA at Notre Dome and is one of the better defensive players on his team.
Defense Marc Katic Ted Ruth- G.M- "Teddy Ruth is a big physical d-man in the Blue Jackets system NHL, Ruth played a great WJC for team U.S.A this past season. Mark Katic is a very offensive d-man from the OHL Sarnia Sting, he put up 13 goals 41 assists for 54 points in 63 games, as a prospect in the Isles system NHL he shouldnt have much competition in making his way into the AHL and hopefully NHL.
Dennis Persson Kirill Tulupov- G.M "Dennis is a kid who has played in the Swedish Elite League for the past three season's, he was drafted by the Sabres in NHL first round in 2006, he has signed and finished this season in the AHL. We hope he can spend a year or two their before making the jump to the NHL. Kirill Tulopov is a kid we drafted in the year one entry draft, this towering Russian (6'4, 230lbs) has a decent offensive side putting in 20+ points again this season in the QMJHL, as a prospect of the NJ Devils we hope he can progress into a solid defensive d-man in the NHL.
Denis Bodrov Shane Sims- G.M " Denis Bodrov is a former 2nd round pick of the Flyers in 2006 NHL. Having played all his hockey in the top Russian league's, we are hopeful that this kid comes over to North America and becomes a solid offensive Russian d-man similar to D.Grebeshkov. S.Sims is another kid we drafted in the year one draft, as an Islander prospect NHL, he is a solid offensive d-man putting up 25pts (7g,17as) in 45 games in the NCAA at Ohio State we feel like he could become a decent offensive d-man in the future, it could be at the AHL level or if were lucky he could translate into that offensive d-man in the NHL..
Tj Miller-- G.M "T.J is a kid who at 6'4 220lbs and a former mid rounder by the Devils. Were hoping for him to have a decent career in the AHL and be a Fringe NHL'er
Goalies Tyson Sexsmith- G.M "Tyson is the alltime leader in shutouts in the WHL. Won the Memorial Cup as CHL champions with the Vancouver Giants in 2007. As a prospect of the Sharks NHL and with a bright future in our opinion we hope this kid can someday be the starter in SJ. "
Alex Kangas- G.M "Alex is a kid who we we really love after stealing late in the draft last season, As a prospect for the Thrashers NHL we think he could become a decent NHL'er, Alex put up record setting numbers as a freshman at Minnesota he unseated vetern Jeff Frazee when both played on Minnesota in the NCAA. Name, Yr Games GAA SV% Alex Kangas, Fr 31 1.983 .930% Jeff Frazee, Jr 14 2.932 .890% In that season he was named the MVP of the WCHA Final Five, becoming just the second player from a losing team to win the award in seven postseason games, had a 1.55 goals against average and .948 save percentage became just the third freshman to be named Minnesotas team MVP (with guys like wheeler-white-stoa-okposo etc on the team) also earned teams Rookie of the Year and Playoff MVP honors started the final 21 games of the year and posted a 1.75 goals against average and .937 save percentage."
Ryan Daniels- " Was starter for Saginaw for two seasons in the OHL, after getting moved to Peterborough he has got into a rotation with Jason Missiaen as the teams goalie. With him being an Ottawa prospect were hoping their weak goalie system can help him see time maybe at the AHL level.
