In Atlanta this season their were many players moved in and out of town, one thing that was always kept in mind was the teams future outlook salary wise. Atlanta signs Dany Heatley to a 5 year deal @ 7.956 million with a 4.42 million SB- This is what type of dollars it takes to keep on of the very top players in the NHL with our club in Atlanta. Dany is the one of a select few in the NHL history to have back to back 50g-50assists seasons. This new deal is expensive but we are just glad to have own the rights to one of the top 10 players in hockey.

Atlanta signs Ryan Kesler to a 4 year deal @ 1.902 million per season with a 845k signing bonus.- This is a contract we feel is one of the better new deals signed this season, it is a 4 year deal for cheap and it leaves Ryan as a RFA in the final year of the deal. Kesler put up 25 goals, 60pts NHL, killed penalty's, played PP, was a top face-off guy, and has the skating ability to keep up with almost anyone in the NHL. He will be one of the better rounded centers for next season, a poor man's version of M.Richards (at a poor mans price).
 
Atlanta signs Clarke MacArthur to a 5 year deal @ 657k with a 365k SB- After potting 17goals 14 assists in 71 games this season NHL Macarthur is a STEAL at 5 years 657k then RFA at end of the deal.

Atlanta signs Jeff Deslaurier to a 3 year deal @ 558k with a 186k SB- JDD is a very nice salary at only 558k for a kid who could become Edmonton's starter in the very near future.
