Humm, now that I think about it I think I agree with you guys - dudes who are currently on prospect list but have ratings for next year should be allowed to play and should not count towards the 5 guys we get from first-round losers...
It'll help teams like Russia - who are hurtin for numbers - fill rosters without Bryce having to create phantom players...
Teams updated. Awaiting from Cal if he is going to run Slovakia.
The playoffs first round will end on Thursday May 7th. So rosters will be due Saturday May 9th. We will start the World CHampionships on Tuesday May 12th.
I have a proposal. Since I have a team (Slovakia) that has only 16 NHLers, very few AHLers, and very few good prospects I am having a tough time making a full roster.
There were quite a few guys who played in the nhl in 2007-08, the year that we are currently using in the season and playoffs (Nagy, Stumpel etc). The way I understand it though we are going to be using the new ratings for the tournament.
My proposal is that for guys like Nagy and Stumpel (if they are eliminated or on non-playoff teams) that we be able to use these guys but with their current ratings plus a 20% decrease across the board on their ratings. The hit being because they are no longer in the nhl.
