WEST:

8 - Anaheim vs. 1 - San Jose SHARKS IN 5
7 - Columbus vs. 2 - Detroit Jackets in 6; Steve Mason is this year's Giguere/Ward. He will carry that team til at least the conference finals
6 - St. Louis vs. 3 - Vancouver Nucks IN 6
5 - Calgary vs. 4 - Chicago Hawks IN 7

EAST:

8 - Montreal vs. 1 - Boston BRUINS IN 4
7 - NY Rangers vs. 2 - Washington Craps IN 7
6 - Carolina vs. 3 - New Jersey HURRICANES IN 4
5 - Philadelphia vs. 4 - Pittsburgh PENGUINS IN 5

Not a bad first round.  If I was a betting man, I would def stick to the Eastern Conference.  The ones I got wrong, I got REALLLLLLLLLY wrong.

WEST:
Wings over Ducks in 5
Chicago over Knuckleheads in 6

EAST:
Bruins over Canes in 6
Pens over Crapitals in 7

Not a bad 2nd round.  Got 3 of 4, and 2 of those series I hit right on the games played.

Pens over Canes in 6
Wings over Hawks in 7

Bryce, please pick the Canes.  It has worked out for the Penguins the first two rounds you picked against them.

So what are we going to have here?   its like the game of which series doesn't belong...

rematch of last year (DET/PIT).... a rematch of 2001(DET/CAR).... a rematch of the 1992 final(CHI/PIT)... or the final i m predicting

Blackhawks over Wings in 6 games
Hurricanes over Pens in yet another 7 game series.

First time ever a chicago/carolina final.

11-3 thru the first 3 rounds. If i were a betting man and had money riding on the games, Im sure the result would be a lot different.

Now, the all important prediction:

Penguins in 6/7!

If they will ever beat detroit, this weekend is the time to do it. Thank god the wings won last night, I didn't want to see Lidstrom and Datzyuk have the extra 10 days to rest. I think the combination of the experience last season and the experienced guys they brought in will give the penguins a much better chance than they did last year. I sure dont think they will get shutout in the first two games like last season.

p.s. Remember Bryce, pick the Wings!

10-4 in the first three rounds (bet against wings to try and beat ian.)

so i pick the wings this round to try and catch him..

wings in 6 again..

lidstrom-datsyuk are healthy but wont play game one IMO.. if they win game 1 i think the series could be 5 games.
