"Renting" a player is not allowed in any way shape or form. Any deal with a futures part attached that involves players returning will not be processed and is subject to disciplinary action from the league including fining and up to termination.
Any indication of backdoor deals in the future are also strictly prohibited, and the same disciplinary action will occur, though at steeper levels.
There is a ZERO tolerance policy about this, as it affects the integrity of each franchise, and the integrity of the league.
Its your league so it is your perogitive if you want to do it that way and I can respect that. I just want to point out that it has happened in the NHL (Chris Gratton when he was good, Geoff Sanderson).
I did it last year in the BRHL but I also paid a hefty price for it (a 2nd round pick). If both GMs are benefiting I dont see how it hurts the integrity of the league.
This reminds me of the old days in the BRHL, back when I was a more creative GM and used to find smart ways to improve my team, and the end result ended up being new rules being put in place by you haha. Not that it was me who tried this in the BRHL2 because I didnt, but Im guessing someone tried it which was the reason for this post.
Difference is that it happens oh so rarely in teh NHL that allowing it in teh sim league auses 10 of them and does affect the integrity of teh league when it is key players and there is no guarantee that guys will be around longterm in the pay league.
I understand your position, and would do the same thing in a different league if I were just a GM, but for this league, it is something I feel needs curtailed.
