Ahead of tomorrow's game against St Louis, Chicago GM George Bachel let his feelings known about newly acquired left winger Pavel Datsyuk.
"I don't like Datsyuk," said GM Bachel to media in Chicago, "He is one dimensional. He couldn't find his own zone with a road map. He is less Datsyuk and more Goal-syuk."
This may be an attempt to spur his team after they've gone 1-3-1 against St Louis this season. However, Datsyuk has announced his intent to play some of his best hockey tomorrow.
The Blues organization released this statement, "we respect GM Bachel quite a bit, they're a worthy opponent and as proven by our record we stepped up our play against them. If we're looking for someone that's underperforming this year, look no further than Lecavalier. 49 points this season for a top line centre shouldn't happen on a team like Chicago, maybe they should be concerned with their own team rather than picking on someone else."
The St Louis Blues are coming off a 1-1 tie with Detroit, where Paul Kariya scored his first goal for the Blues in order to send the game to overtime. Evgeni Nabokov will get the start while it is expected that Nicklas Backstrom will be in the Chicago net.
