Montreal GM taking hits

After tonight's loss, the Canadiens have lost 11 in a row.  This appears to be the worst string of games by any team this year.  Looking at the roster, one wonders how they were real playoff contenders in the first place, but to start off not losing a game in the first 11 and losing 11 in a row and a SO loss before then is unheard of.  Only the Detroit Lions have lost more games in a row this year so far.(I don't know for certain but it seems about accurate)  Just like in Pittsburgh of the NHL, fans of all types have screamed "FIRE HIM!" at the GM Tomayko.  Just before he closed the email to fire Boudreau, GM Tomayko flinched and saw the future:

"I had the official email typed to the BRHL2 office, but I could not pull the trigger.  Boudreau is in his first season with our organization and the first one I hired.  Our team has played excellent except for entering the 2009 part of the season.  We are still 6 points ahead of 9th place in the Eastern Conference.  If we win and they lose one, we'll be 4 games(+/- tiebreaker) ahead.  We have less than 30 games remaining.  If the trade deadline comes and goes as planned, it will secure Boudreau's spot as coach for next season."

When asked what plans were for the trade deadline to secure Boudreau's position, GM Tomayko responded:

"We've heard rumors of Doan and Huet being dealt.  All have been false, but as any other GM in the league, I am open ears to any legit offer laid in front of me."
