As posted elsewhere, I've been working on a formulized strength rating for players, it is based on the following items (obviously on sliding scales).
Height Weight Hits per game Fights/Majors per game
If you would like to see what a players strength is projecting to be right now, post up a couple guys and their Games Played, Hits, Majors, Height and Weight. I'll run a few through quickly and post up results for everyone to see.
The first one I did (cause I was looking at his history and figured why he was invisibile for the first 2.5 months was Eric Cole, who came out at a 73 strength
How will Goalies strength be rated?? please dont tell me its strictly Height/Weight so Olli Kolzig doesnt continue to be rated as the strongest goalie in our league..
it should be based on Games played for goalies strength imo.. Goalies that start 70+ nhl games are the "strongest" goalie's IMO..

I think goalie strength ratings should be based on height and weight. As those are the best indicators of strength we have.
If Kolzig is a lot bigger than a small goalie who plays 75 games, well, then Kolzig deserves to be rated as "stronger". Games played has NOTHING to do with strength, and everything to do with conditioning and durability.
The new sim differentiates size and strength. Size will be based on height and weight, strength, I tend to agree with kirk, is more reflected in their ability to play alot of games. It is going to be based on a combination o ftheir size and their ability to play lots of games.
