Bitter Disappointment for Wild shutout in FA

The Minnesota Wild had but one goal in FA get a top 4 defenseman. Well that search ended today in bitter disappointment. After probably pissing off a couple of GM's and trying a last ditch effort to sign Suter and Bieska to offer sheets, the search ended when both teams promptly signed their guys. Being the first FA for the Wild we did not want to go crazy and hurt the team long term by signing an overpriced contract. Was it a mistake? I guess we'll see. The Wild are however still very interested in aquiring any available guys out there that will be able to step in and contribute to this hockey team.

Here is how the Wild look to stack up this year:

Booth-Brindamour-Hagman
O'Sullivan-Arnott-Clark
Chimera-Gordon-Tucker
Wolski-Jaffrey-Radivojevic

Redden-Hamhuis
Seidenberg-Enstrom
Backman-Boullion

Khabibulin
Toivonen

...Derek
GM Minni

very, very competitive team considering you went through the dispersal...

top notch GMing by this cvlub, and was very tough but fair in the deal we did...

good luck in following season..
