rex never really had savard, but had to finagle with 3 other teams to get the deal he wanted...

gaustad, hartnell, fla 3rd
for
gomez, hejduk

Philly is quite pleased with the return they got in these deals.

all kirk ended up getting is savard (UFA) and a 2nd and 3rd for cammerelli...

remember this when cammy scores 35+ again this year and is looking at a rerate in the 77-78 range and kirk has to lose 2 of zubov, savard, or selanne because of UFA..

Nilsson is a top 6 forward at best for the future. Kirk wins 70/30

really not sure what the hell you guys are missing... maybe go to the previous trade between me, kirk, and dallas... because i had not got confirmation from edmonton on our hartnell-savard deal, it couldnt be a full 3-way deal betweeen dallas, atl, and myself...

or else heres is exactly what the trade was:

To Dallas: gaustad, cammerelli
From Dal: hejduk, gomez, dal 2nd
To Atlanta: hartnell, dal 2nd, fla 3rd
From Atl: Cammerrelli
To Philly: hejduk, gomez
From Phi: gaustad, hartnell, fla 3rd

and then kirk moved hartnell for savard 1-1...

maybe think of it that way instead of bashing the end-part of the deal...

Not bashing Rex. I don't need to think of it as anyway. You gave up marc savard for robert nilsson, in my opinion you got hosed. However, this is an opinion thread, and that's merely 1 opinion.

To pitts- JovoCop- 3 mill
To Atlanta- Luca Caputi- Pitts 3rd, Brad Lukowich..

Explanation? UFA overpaid by like 3 million for one of the only players that has actual value on the entire pittsburgh team. AND a 3rd!

You are quite possibly the worst arguer? This has no relevance to the deal. Fact of the matter is, pitt could have signed jovo himself not 2 weeks ago for free and still achieved the above quote.

I think you're missing the point- yes he's making a cup run. But he was making a cup run 2 weeks ago and could have won jovo in UFA for FREE, without the cost of caputi and a 3rd. That's what i don't get.
