to Philadelphia: Tobias Enstrom Scott Hartnell Matt Corrente
to Anaheim: Ryan Whitney Milan Lucic Denis Grebeshkov
very nice deal for anahiem.. landing lucic a future PF and a stud PP d-man on the pens in whitney for a guy who was disappearing act over 2nd half of last year, and with bogosian their now i see him as the dominate d-man in ATL. and a overprice 20G forward in hartnell.. not dawging yah rex i just think the age u gave up on lucic-hartnell and the talent dif in whitney>enstrom doesnt make a = swap of corrente-grebs a deal i like..
love gettting these two studd prospects to go along with perron-bouwman-obrien-ross-godfrey-palushaj-simmonds-sexsmith-hjarlmasson from the drafts top 2 rounds..
i'm jealous cause i was told when i first traded lucic that he was a big part of their team and would stay there.. then was told again on his 2nd trade that he would not be going anywhere and now he has landed in Anaheim.... 4 teams in like 8 days... insane!!!
5 teams in like 8 days but don't worry he won't be dealt again. If you would have just dealt him to me in the first place I wouldn't have had to bug 4 other GM's about him . Overpaying or not he is my favorite player and he's here to stay.
lucic was becoming my favourite player too... cause modano is back to retire soon so i need a new player to follow. and i hated when i traded him.. but ya i should have went straight to you.. any chance now we make a deal lol..
what does everyone think of my trades over the last week? feel free to voice your opinions on any one of these:
i liked the return i got in anaheim deal:
enstrom, hartnell, corrente for whitney, lucic, grebeshkov
and then i probably overpaid kirk to get a guy i needed:
wolski for backlund, nash
but then i got the asset i wanted in the minny deal:
hossa for enstrom, wolski
bringing the total tally in the deal to: Ryan Whitney, Denis Grebeshkov, Milan Lucic, Mikael Backlund, Riley Nash for Marian Hossa, Matt Corrente, Scott Hartnell

Get ahold of me soon, or my players will already be dealt!
he should have a very very nice rerate after playing a season in detroit... but the amount of youth you gave up to get him in your various deals i think will come back to haunt you...
lucic won't pan out to be anything more than a third line forward IMO, and i know there are some of you who disagree with me... but backlund and nash are great prospects....
hartnell is a good forward, but corrente has an attitude problem and will find it tough under brent sutter in new jersey (i think he's still with them)
Hate to say it Rex, I never generally get into figuring out who's deals are good or not but since you asked, I think you got screwed big time !
Nothing else to be said here.
( Hossa overated big time as always FHL and NHL ) FLOATER !!
I will say that Hossa is very responsible defensively, and did break up numerous plays coming back into the zone.
However, that doesn't mean that he isn't a NO GOOD, ****-SUCKING, BUTT-PIRATE, DINGLEBERRY, MERCINARY, ****ING *******. I hope he blows out his ****ing knee and ends his career and forever regrets not taking a long term deal this season.
Not to be critical.
I'm sure Eric and Tim would agree.

Hossa is a bumb (lol thats what u say when u bow out and dont land him right??) but as oiler fan hate the guy now and hope its gaborik katz throws all his money at next year if the wild dont lock him up before that...
I had solid combination of deals aswell over last week too..
Leaving Atlanta- Mike Lundin-Tj Brennan-Shane Doan, Bos 7th, Bos 5th-St.L 7th, paul martin-radek martinek, sj 3rd 09-sj 6th 09 - Pho 6th coming to town- Temu Selanne- J.Oduya- M.Mittera - R.Nash, M.Erat.. - M.Santorelli- 4.9 million- Clb 2nd.- rights to eddie the eagle.
in our view Selanne (ufa)-santorelli = Doan (ufa) Brennan-Lundin-B.Tallackson-3-5-6 = R.Nash Martinek-Martin-6-7-7 = Oduya-mittera- 5 mill cash
i end up gaining M.Erat--CLb 2nd---through the deals imo...
To Ottawa- Martin Erat- Pho 3rd TO Atl- Pm Bouchard (new 2nd line C team needed) and a 6-7th round picks.
to Atlanta- RJ umberger- 1.5 million TO Tampa- PM BOUCHARD
to atlanta- mike cammerelli to detriot- rj umberger
making it recently
Leaving Atlanta- Mike Lundin-Tj Brennan-Shane Doan, Bos 7th, Bos 5th-St.L 7th, paul martin-radek martinek, sj 3rd 09, pho 3rd 09 -sj 6th 09 - Pho 6th coming to town- Temu Selanne- J.Oduya- M.Mittera - R.Nash, M.Camerelli.. - M.Santorelli- 6.4 million- Clb 2nd.-and a 6th-7th,, and the rights to eddie the eagle.
Gamble for sure, but I like my chances that this move will pay off. Both guys will be top line players on their respective teams.
A lot of my guys lost their Center status on TSN this offseason, and I needed to bring someone in at the position. Umberger can play all 3 forward positions, and gives me the flexability I need. He is also signed for one more season than cammalleri, at the same price. This move also opens up a spot in the top 6 for Byfuglien or Avery, one of which was stuck on the 4th line before.
Havent decided how my lines will shape up. Umberger is penciled into the second line center slot between Avery and Kane. I might have him play top line with Alfredsson and let Modano play with Kane to balance things out.

Great. TSN has changed it back. Oh well, I still like the deal.
And Kirk, thanks for throwing that in my face like that. With classy moves like that, I dont know why you don't get more GM OF THE YEAR votes.
