rex had been hounding me for nillson after his promotion recently in edmonton (which wont last) and i really like Chorney who will be a bigtime nhler i got back a key guy in reasoner whose ability to play PK for us is huge over nillson for this year.. chorney also and replace's the guy i move in the next deal in the teams longterm plans..

We feel hecht's ratings will be huge along the left side of Pahlsson-Mueller on the teams third line.. him and marty reasoner will give the PK a big boost aswell

Ottawa is officially in full rebuilding mode as Hecht Erat and White have all left Ottawa

The first trade saw Hecht finally head to Atlanta

To Ottawa: Mike Mitera and $1,000,000

To Atlanta: Hecht

Atlanta has been after Hecht for some time now and after being offered Mitera it was too good to pass up even though I was hoping to shop him around a bit Mitera could quickly join the Ducks blue line out of College next year he is big and strong and a solid defensive defenseman

The second trade saw Erat and White head to Phoenix

To Ottawa: David Perron and STL 3 09

To Phoenix: Martin Erat and Todd White

With the amount of interest in Erat shown around the league I didn't expect to move him this quickly but had to jump at the chance to get a great young forward in Perron, he is only 20 and is already putting up solid points in the NHL

Still lots of players left to be moved including Bryzgalov!
